Full Time Estate Worker required for beautiful 1000 acre Estate located between Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds.
The Estate is managed in a very environmentally friendly way with established rewilding areas throughout.
There are rare breed cattle, sheep and pigs on site too, so animal husbandry experience would be an advantage.
The Position:-
- Tractor and implement use to maintain fields
- General grass cutting using large ride on mower
- Strimming, hedge cutting, ditch clearing etc
- Working in the vineyard and winery
- Animal care-Pigs, Cattle and sheep
- Maintenance of parkland and woodland areas
- Assisting with fencing
- Assisting the Garden team when required
- Monday to Friday with weekends on a rota basis-the team all pull together at busy times.
The Person:-
- Reliable, friendly with an excellent work ethic
- A team player who is happy to follow instructions
- Polite and easy to get along with
- Knowledgeable with rewilding and environmentally farming practice
- A tractor driver with field maintenance experience
- Able to care for rare breed cattle, sheep, pigs etc
- Will have ride on mower, strimmer, hedge cutter, chain saw experience and certificates would be preferred.
- A car driver with own transport
- Happy to work weekends as and when required.
A good salary will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references. The salary will be based on experience.
