Experienced Estate Manager required for a 4000 acre prestigious, country Estate located in South East England. The Estate comprises a Principal House with 50 acres of magnificent gardens surrounded by parkland.
The majority of the farmland is farmed by contractors and there is also a managed shoot.
The Estate includes several houses and cottages and employs c.35 staff.
There will be a lovely 3 bedroom cottage and a generous salary offered to the successful person as well as other fabulous benefits.

The Position:
- Being fully responsible for presenting the Estate to the highest standards at all times
- To ensure that all properties, walls, hedges, gates, woodlands, tracks and driveways, utilities, vehicles, machinery and equipment are properly maintained.
- To liaise directly with the Owner’s principal Executive
- To live on the Estate and act as Caretaker
- Implement the management through the heads of the various departments
- To formally report to the Board of Directors. On a day to day basis the EM will work in conjunction with the Chief of Staff of the Principal’sFamily Office.
- To attend management Meetings monthly
- To maintain all Estate files and records and reply to all correspondence, enquiries and demands promptly and efficiently.
- To ensure the Estate complies with all relevant legislation
- To represent the Owners in the local community, parish council etc and to uphold the good name and reputation of the Estate
- To assist in the continuing development of the management and IT systems
- Liaising with the client’s HR department based in London on all HR matters and be responsible for all past and current employee welfare
- Carry out financial duties in collaboration with the London accounting department-implement, track and reconcile annual revenue and budgets
- To liaise with the London property and Building Departments with regard to all the Estate maintenance.
- To provide the owner with support, required from time to time i.e when in residence.

- Reliable, trustworthy with an excellent work ethic
- Polite, well presented and and excellent communicator.
- Actively engaged with all operations on the Estate
- Organised, tenacious, thorough with a keen eye for detail
- Forward thinking, flexible and capable of using own initiative
- Fully IT literate
- Looking for a position with longevity
- An exceptional Estate Manager with proven experience in a similar role within a private household.
