Experienced Housekeeper required for impressive, private, country manor house not far from Norwich, Norfolk.
We are looking for a reliable, meticulous and detail orientated Housekeeper. Someone who has worked in a hotel or private household previously would be best suited for this position.
Part time – flexible days and hours.
The current housekeeper is retiring after 4 wonderful years.
The house is a large, 12 bedroom family home, arranged over three storeys, so the housekeeper will need to be physically fit and capable of managing a house of this size.
The Role/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the families private home all year round
- Taking care of general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Deep cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and other higher use rooms
- Making beds and changing linens
- Managing all household laundry and ironing
- Restocking supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Emptying bins
- Restocking vases with fresh flowers
- Keeping on top of all cleaning supplies and restocking when needed
- Responding to family and guest requests in a timely, friendly and professional manner as and when necessary
- Polishing antiques and silverware
- Occasional house/pet sitting
The person:
- Previous experience in hotel or private household essential, with formal training
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills to interact with family members, guests and other members of staff
- Firm knowledge of hotel or private housekeeping procedures and techniques
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and products
- Passionate about what they do with a high attention to detail
- Discreet, professional and lovely to have around
- Someone careful who takes pride in their work
