Are you an experienced cook looking for an exciting culinary opportunity in a private household? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the domestic team, providing the highest standard of service and support.

As a Cook in our private household, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and serving meals for the family and their guests. This role involves maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness in the kitchens, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and managing food supplies and catering accounts within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of kitchens and equipment.
  • Plan menus, prepare and serve meals for the family and guests, keeping accurate records.
  • Order food supplies, manage stock, and oversee catering accounts.
  • Stay updated on hygiene regulations and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

About you 

  • Sound cooking experience, ideally within a private household setting.
  • City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent) and a Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Confidence in cooking for varying group sizes and occasions.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with budget management experience.
  • Punctual, organised, meticulous, and able to work in a timely manner.
  • Personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a small team.
  • Hands-on and flexible attitude, committed to maintaining the highest service standards.

About the role

Average of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Flexible approach to working hours and weekend duties as required, including split shifts.
