Weekend Groom, Bildeston, Suffolk REF JF1653

Part Time experienced Groom required for small, private yard located near Bildeston, Suffolk.

We are looking for someone who can work weekends, ideally both days, but flexibility can be shown.

Someone who can perhaps work Saturday and Sunday mornings for approx 2-3 hours, or maybe one of the days 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.

The position will include:-

• All general yard duties to a high standard-mucking out, poo picking, hays, waters, sweeping the yard etc
• Handling horses on the ground- this will include youngstock at times
• Turning horses out and bringing them in from the field.
• Checking for injury and reporting to owner
• Making up haynets and filling water buckets
• Grooming the horses

The Person:-

• Reliable and trustworthy with a genuine love of working with horses
• Confident around youngstock
• Within half an hour of Bildeston
• An experienced horse person who understands what needs doing and when
• Car driver due to rural location
• Previously worked with horses

Good hourly rate offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references.
