Full Time Head Groundsperson / Gardener required by private, country Estate located 5 miles South of Bishops Stortford, Essex, with easy access from A120 and M11.
The Estate is set within 45 acres of beautiful parkland just outside the village of Hatfield Broad Oak.
This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking person to manage and improve the Estate grounds, working closely with the Estate Manager.
The successful candidate will have previously been involved in all aspects of parkland maintenance, and will also have some gardening experience with good horticultural knowledge. Previous Estate work would be an advantage and preferred.
Someone practical with good mechanical knowledge essential with the ability to use large garden machinery, tractors, ATVs etc, to maintain large areas of lawn to the highest standard.
This is a hands on position, however a proven track record in a leadership role would be advantageous.
Hours will be 40 per week – 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with the occasional weekends if required.
DBS and NDA will be required as well as fully checkable references.
A generous salary ( dependent on experience ) will be offered to the successful person as well as 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
