Housekeeper, Higham, Suffolk – REF JF1678

Experienced Housekeeper required for beautiful country house, located in the village of Higham on the Suffolk/Essex border.  Very easy access from Colchester or Ipswich.

The current housekeeper is sadly leaving, after quite a few years with the family.

The house is large with high ceilings, large staircase and big windows, so the incoming housekeeper will need to be used to working in similar properties. There are usually only one or two people in residence, so this is not a busy household.

The position will include all housework to a high standard, bed changing, laundry and ironing.

Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude , who is organised and takes a pride in their work.  There may be other tasks, such as laying fires, cleaning internal windows, sorting kitchen cupboards, cleaning silver etc.

We are looking for someone fairly local who can work 12 hours a week over 2 days, ideally:

Monday or Tuesday             4 hours

Thursday or Friday.              8 hours

Car driver preferred due to the location and non smoker essential.

A good hourly self employed salary will be offered to the successful person.
