Office Manager, Nr Newmarket – RR1681
Position Filled
Full time, experienced and highly organised Office Manager required for professional pre-training yard near Newmarket, Suffolk. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to join an extremely successful, close knit team.
Hours;
- 40 hours a week,
- Monday – Friday
- 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (flexible)
- Chance to work remotely 1-2 days a week for the right person
This is a fast paced environment and will require someone who is highly efficient and organised with a great attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Requirements:
- Organising vaccinations and routine veterinary work
- Writing reports for horse owners and trainers
- Accurate record keeping with in house system (Excel spreadsheets/Google Sheets)
- Staff management
- Invoicing
- Updating and communicating with owners regularly (via telephone, email etc)
- Keeping track of staff overtime
- Helping the accountant with staff hours / overtime and submitting payroll
- Additional help with social media and the company website as and when necessary
The Person:
- Enthusiastic and self motivated
- Interest in horses or horse racing essential
- Experience as a racing secretary would be a real advantage but is not a deal breaker
- Office Management or equivalent essential
- Great communicator, with an excellent phone manner to speak with owners and trainers
- Excellent IT skills (particularly with Excel Spreadsheets) and use of the English Language
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work load
- At least an intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
- Polite, professional and a real team player
- Reliable, trustworthy and discreet
- High attention to detail, accurate and takes pride in their work
£34,000 per annum, great overall package and excellent working environment.
Car driver essential due to remote location.
