Assistant Housekeeper with accommodation – Norfolk, RR1717

Full time, Assistant Housekeeper required for private household near Dersingham, Norfolk. The person will work as part of a highly motivated team to provide the very highest standards in delivering housekeeping and guest services.
Full time, 40 hours a week to include weekends as and when agreed.
You will be the first point of contact for the property alarms or callouts.
The role:
- Help manage the housekeeping team to deliver all housekeeping tasks to achieve the highest possible level of service and standards of presentation.
- Take on the senior role in the Housekeeper’s absence.
- Take care of the cleaning of antiques and furnishings, fabrics and objets d’art, using agreed methods and practices.
- Ensure that all items are well cared for and any changes are reported immediately.
- Assist with laundry and linen care, including ironing and steaming garments.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Any other ad hoc duties that arise.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess good leadership and people management skills and the ability to encourage and develop teams.
- Be a strong communicator at all levels with confident interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work well within a small multi-functional team, have a flexible approach and be willing to support colleagues.
- Be committed to ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping and presentation.
- Understand the importance of professional discretion.
- Take pride in their work and present themselves well to colleagues, visitors and guests.
- Carry out planned tasks in a timely fashion.
- Have a positive attitude to safe working practices.
- Be willing to undertake training and learn new skills that are required for this position.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and efficiency.
- Have a flexible and pro-active approach.
The successful applicant must be self-motivated and personable with a conscientious attitude.
Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage available.
This role may at times be considered quite physical and can include working on ladders, working with chemicals, moving and lifting of items, and standing for long periods of time so a physically fit person would be best suited.
