Trainee Gamekeepers x 2, Kings Lynn, Norfolk – REF JF1733

An excellent opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic, hardworking Trainee Gamekeepers to join a dedicated team on a prestigious Norfolk Estate.

The successful applicants will be self motivated with a conscientious attitude and capable of working within the context of a diverse estate consisting of numerous other enterprises.

The positions are offered on a two year fixed term contract with shared accommodation within the Estate property.

The successful applicants will be able to develop their skills and be able to work using their own initiative alongside experienced game keepers.

The trainee gamekeepers will be required to help with a variety of duties and the day to day maintenance and enhancement of the Estate.

These are full time positions based on a 39 hour week over 5 days. Weekend work will be required when necessary.

These duties will include:

• Deer Management
• Pest Control
• Habitat and Woodland management
• Assisting with kennel duties
• Other duties for the enhancement of the Estate

The Person:

• Reliable, enthusiastic with a good work ethic
• A good team player with an easy to get along with personality
• Polite and well presented
• Happy to work outside in all weathers
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy work
• A car driver with clean licence
• Shotgun and firearms (FAC) licences preferred.
