Housekeeper/Cook/Carer, Isle of Wight. REF JF1739

Housekeeper/Cook/Carer required for elderly gentleman with Parkinson’s disease who lives on the Isle of Wight.

This is a part time position for a maximum of a couple of hours in the morning when the gentleman requires help with starting his day.

The Parkinson’s disease is less pronounced in the afternoon and evening allowing the gentleman to enjoy a good social life with friends.

What is required:

• Assistance with getting out of bed, showering and getting dressed.
• Preparing and serving breakfast.
• Preparing a meal for the evening and possibly something light for lunch.
• Carrying out housework, including bed changing, washing and ironing.
• Monitoring medication.
• Shopping.
• Making sure bins are emptied etc and the kitchen kept clean and tidy.

The Person:

• Reliable, trustworthy and above all kind and patient.
• Friendly and lovely to have around.
• Experienced with Parkinson’s disease patients.
• A good housekeeper/cleaner.
• Happy to carry out the washing and ironing.
• A car driver with own transport.

A good hourly rate will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references and a DBS.
