Part Time Nanny- Thetford – RR1800 (interviewing)

We are looking for an experienced and energetic nanny to join a busy, family household, to help look after their lovely four-year old son, and to help with some household chores.

This is a long-term role which is focused on engaging with the little boy and arranging fun activities during 3 days per week during the school holidays, and two or three afternoons each week during term time (but term time hours can be bolstered with additional housekeeping, alongside the families part-time housekeeper, if requested).  There is quite a lot of flexibility surrounding hours for the right person, so please get in touch if you think that you might be interested and be a good fit. Competitive compensation, which will be determined by level of experience.

Hours:

• Holiday hours: 3 x 8 hour days
• Term time hours: 2-3 x 4 hour afternoons
• Must be available for ad hoc babystting and to stay overnight for babysitting when both parents are away (to be arranged in advance, typically 1-2 nights every 2-3 weeks)
• Flexibility on hours is a great help (though the minimum number of hours will of course be guaranteed)

Childcare:

• Childcare responsibilities include helping with some school drop-offs and collections, preparing nutritious meals, taking care of the son’s laundry, ironing, bedroom and playroom. The priority is the ability to come up with engaging activities with him, including ones that require a lot of energy like sports in the garden and trampolining!
• Must like dogs (they have a Labrador and Spaniel) and be happy to walk/ feed them on occasion.
• Additional hours available for a good ironer, a good cook, and for housekeeping
• Ability to travel with the family on occasional holidays a bonus

Must be an experienced driver with a clean driving license and have enhanced DBS check before starting. Glowing references essential.
