
Estate Worker / Handy Person – Langham, Norfolk – RR1896 (interviews in process)

Due to a change in circumstances, this great position is available again.
Part time, experienced, local and professional Estate Worker / Handy Person required for large country house not far from Langham, Norfolk. This would suit a bit of a Jack of all Trades, someone who can turn their hand to most things and is happy to role their sleeves up and muck in.
The person must have worked in a similar role on a professional level with excellent references to back this.
Hours:
2 full days a week, flexible days available.
Salary:
£20-£25ph, self – employed depending on experience.
The role will be varied and involve tasks such as:
- General painting
- General repairs (inside and outside)
- Occasional lawn cutting to assist the current gardener (sit on mower and push mower)
- Leaf blowing
- Clearing gutters
- Basic DIY and wood repairs
- Non specialist electric works (as and when necessary)
- Non specialist plumbing (as and when necessary)
- Chopping logs
- Mending fences
- Use of chainsaw, sprays (PA1 & PA6), strimmer, leaf blower
- General property maintenance and tidiness
- Handling deliveries- 25kg bags
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools for gardening and estate upkeep
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance and repairs on estate equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving equipment, materials, or supplies around the estate
- Ensure that all areas of the estate are kept clean and tidy, adhering to safety standards at all times
The person will need to work well with a small friendly team but be equally as happy working alone, managing their own time effectively.
The Estate worker will need to be physically fit and be a nice person to work with.
This would suit a reliable, trustworthy and confidential person who has the ability and enthusiasm to take care of this lovely private family home on a long term, permanent basis.
As the principals are not always in residence, an up to date DBS check will be required along with good references.
Clean driving licence and use of a car essential due to remote location.
