Experienced Office Manager / PA required for busy family run farming business nestled in the heart of East Anglia. We are looking for someone who has exceptional administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to support and represent the business owner in communications with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.

This is a part time, permanent position, Monday – Friday, 25 hours per week (flexible).

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of the farm office.
  • PA duties to the Farm Owner (diary management, scheduling meetings and appointments; handling correspondence, emails and phone calls etc).
  • Customer liaison and supply chain support including being the first point of contact for their retail multiple, and other customer’s enquiries.
  • Efficiently manage incoming enquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses to requests for product and process information.
  • HR duties to include taking ownership of admin steps needed for inducting new employees, from start to finish.
  • Managing payroll (excl payment) and payroll adjustments / salary increases by chasing necessary approvals.
  • Supporting the bookkeeper in debtor management to ensure timely payments.
  • Assist with grant applications.
  • Manage contracts for IT, Telecoms, etc.
  • Liaising with department managers to ensure compliance with staff training, health & safety, and audit preparation requirements.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts, the company website and marketing activities.

Hours:

  • 25 hours a week, Monday – Friday, approximately 5 hours a day (flexible)
  • No weekends

  • Comfortable liaising with business advisors, professional consultants, finance companies, and external service providers.
  • Accurate, thorough and meticulous in their approach to work.
  • Must be a team player who is approachable, friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

Experience and requirements:

  • Personal administration and office management
  • Staff management and HR administration
  • Agricultural background and some financial literacy experience preferred but not essential.
  • Clean driving licence and use of car (due to remote location).
  • Excellent checkable references.
  • Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Excel and financial management software.

Salary:

  • £15-18ph depending on experience.
