Part Time, Experienced Gardener – Oundle, Northamptonshire – RR1566

Experienced Gardener required for very attractive mini estate on the Northants/Cambs border, relatively close to South Peterborough, Huntingdon and Sawtry. The estate comprises of 3 acres of beautiful gardens/orchard, 5 acres of woodland, 20 acres of paddocks and natural lakes. Everything has been maintained to a high standard and is beautifully kept/ laid out.

Hours:

• 3 days a week, permanent

The principles have horses and dogs, so the person must like animals. Any equine experience would be a real advantage too.

This role would suit a local, well organised, good natured gardener who can work off their own initiative, someone who is happy to muck in, work well with others, and is flexible would be ideal.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Weeding, pruning, mulching and cutting back
• Looking after the greenhouse, vegetable and cutting garden
• Digging
• Planting
• Chainsaw work (employer is happy to put the successful person through a course if needs be)
• Keeping flower beds, pots and patio clean, tidy and weed free
• Assisting the part time gardener who cuts the lawn/hedges and acts as the estates handy person
• Leaf blowing, splitting logs
• Topping paddocks, use of general garden machinery
• Muck in where needed

Drivers licence essential and use of own car due to rural location.

Excellent references will be required before starting the role.
