Experienced Project Manager required by a professional, award winning Landscape and Construction company. You will be based in a rural location on the Essex/Suffolk border, close to both Colchester and Sudbury.
The Position:
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
- You will be able to efficiently manage and oversee domestic and commercial projects – large and small
- You will possess a sound and demonstrable knowledge of all aspects of hard landscaping and a clear understanding of setting out sites, being able to programme works to suit those sites. Solid experience of materials, construction methods mixed with an ability to tie the hard and soft landscape areas together.
- This will also include management of staff on site and subcontractors with the aim of achieving maximum efficiency and profitability without any compromise to our reputation for high standards of workmanship and safety. Regular meetings/updates with clients and operations team, keeping them abreast of progress.
- Weekly programming of staff in line with project timelines and regular reporting of job progress – on time and on budget.
- Using your excellent communication skills, you will also regularly meet with the Commercial Manager and operations team on site and ensure the project is running smoothly, highlighting any concerns and actioning resolutions in a timely and proactive fashion.
Required skills:
- A proven track record as a Project Manager within the Landscaping/Construction industry – 5 years experience preferable. Demonstrable Hard and Soft Landscaping experience together with first class Health and Safety knowledge.
- Numerate, with very strong IT skills particularly Excel.
- Exceptional Organisation Skills.
- Exceptional Communication Skills.

- Second to none, positive, proactive and hands-on attitude and a very critical eye for detail.
- Health and safety awareness essential, ideally SSSTS obtained, CSCS Card useful.
- Driving Licence
