Full time, skilled and dedicated property maintenance professional required on a large, privately owned country house near Swaffham. The role will be to assist the estates long standing,  part time Property Maintenance Person with day to day tasks.

The ideal person will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and repair various problems that arise within the main house and 50+ dwellings on the estate. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to:-

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on 50+ dwellings on the estate.
  • Complete repairs/painting.
  • Utilise the company’s processes and systems to record details of each job including time on the job, parts used, and any reattendance required.
  • Assist as a second operative or train other team members where required.
  • Ensure stock of parts and materials are utilised in a cost-effective manner and report any required parts or materials.
  • Ensure stores of stock and tools are kept tidy and secure.
  • Carry out regular training as instructed, along with reporting any training needs.
  • Be prepared to travel from time to time, occasionally spending 2-3 days away from the estate. Transport and accommodation will be provided.

Experience

  • Experience in supervising teams or leading maintenance projects is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

The successful applicant will need to work on their own initiative, and as part of a team and have a keen eye for detail, show ambition to exceed targets and take responsibility.  Basic plumbing, electrical and joinery experience is essential with a full, clean driving licence and use of a car.

Salary dependant on experience. Knowledge in a similar role is essential, as are excellent professional references that back up all past and current property maintenance work.
