Full Time Groom – Bury St Edmunds REF 593

Full Time experienced Groom required for private sports horse stud near Bury St Edmunds,

We are looking for someone to join the small, established team caring for a variety of horses from, broodmares, foals,youngstock through to horses competing at a high level in Eventing.

The successful person must be reliable, enthusiastic with a good work ethic and the ability to work well with others and alone when necessary.

All yard duties to a high standard including , mucking out, grooming, hays, waters, turning out and bringing horses in from the field, rug changing, putting horses on the walker, cleaning tack and generally keeping the yard clean and tidy.

Assisting the head groom and other grooms where necessary.

Must be flexible with start and finish times during the foaling season to help watch the mares as they foal.

For a good confident rider there is the opportunity to help exercise the youngsters and the competition horses.

The horses in the yard are beautifully bred and the owners are passionate about them , so someone with a genuine love and interest in seeing them progress is a must.

The event horses compete from young horse classes right up to the international classes with top riders so this is a very exciting part of this job.
