Full Time experienced  Secretary required for private household within large country Estate located approx 20 minutes from Newmarket.

Basic duties to include:-

  • Acting as a first point of contact for the private office: dealing with correspondence and phone calls
  • Managing the principles diary and organising meetings and appointments
  • Providing admin support to the house staff
  • Event organisation
  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation
  • Reminding the principle of important tasks and deadlines
  • Typing, compiling and preparing schedules and correspondence
  • Managing databases and filing systems
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
  • Liaising with staff, suppliers, contractors, family members and guests
  • Collating and filing expenses
  • Using a range of software packages
  • Taking minutes
  • Miscellaneous admin tasks to support the PA and Accountant




·         experience in an administrative role

·         knowledge of software packages, word & excel

·         good interpersonal and time management skills.

·         Honesty & discretion


Days will be Monday to Friday and hours will be 9am to 5pm ( some flexibility can be shown)

Excellent salary offered to the successful person.
