Full Time experienced Housekeeper – Nr Bury St Edmunds – REF 600

Full Time experienced Housekeeper required for large private country Estate located approx 20 minutes from Bury St Edmunds.

The house is occupied for much of the year by the principal couple who travel overseas for extended periods. Whilst they are in residence the housekeeper would be required to prepare and serve daily breakfast and lunch and also leave an evening meal at the end of the day.

Someone who can provide good, healthy and hearty cooking using fresh locally sourced ingredients. ( catering qualifications not expected)

Overseeing and very hands on housework, maintaining high standard cleanliness and presentation of the Hall alongside a designated cleaner.

Organising deep cleans of areas when the Principals are away and also specialist cleans of antiques, carpets , etc.

Carrying out laundry, sending away dry cleaning, dealing with contractors, answering telephone and emails, ensuring the house is stocked with food and cleaning supplies.

During the winter the Principals host overnight shooting parties and would want the housekeeper on hand to work alongside other staff members delivering high levels of hospitality to the guests.

The Housekeeper should be polite, well presented with a cheerful disposition with a ‘Can do’ attitude.

A competitive salary will be offered to the successful person.

Accommodation can be available if required.

Five day week with two consecutive days off ( normally at weekends)

Car driver and non smoker only.
