Full Time experienced hotel receptionist required for a beautiful, luxury hotel and restaurant nestled in the Suffolk countryside approx 9 miles West of Ipswich, Suffolk. The hotel is in a fabulous location and offers a unique setting for guests and offers a lovely working environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to be part of an exciting, expanding business which has recently opened the most amazing spa and wedding venue offering exceptional, unrivalled facilities.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent customer service skills , to join the front of house team who are the main point of contact for welcoming all guests to the venue. Someone who works well in a team and who understands that their welcoming smile will add to the guests overall impression of their experience.
The hours are 7am – 3pm/ 3pm – 11pm -over a 7 day week with 2 days off per week, as with all hospitality roles the hours will include weekends and bank holidays ( on a rota basis )
An industry competitive salary will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references
The job will entail:
- Welcoming guests and handling the check in/check out process for the hotel in a friendly and professional manner
- Providing information about the hotel, spa and restaurant facilities, services and promotions
- Managing guest reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Responding to guest enquiries and resolving any immediate issues
- Coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Assisting with concierge services, such as arranging transportation and making restaurant reservations
- Maintaining a clean and organised reception area and workspace
- Handling cash and credit card transactions, following established procedures
- Providing administrative support, such as answering phone calls, taking messages, and managing correspondence.
The Person will have:
- At least 2 years hotel/hospitality experience preferably within a boutique hotel or high-end restaurant
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- A polite and personable manner
- Proficiency in Computer systems and IT knowledge in general
- The ability to multitask and work under pressure at times in a fast paced environment
- A professional appearance and demeanour, being well presented at all times.
