Yard Manager / Head Person REF 609 UNDER OFFER

An opportunity has arisen for a yard manager to join a successful pre-training yard near Newmarket. The yard pre-trains for some of the leading racehorse trainers in the country.

Previous experience in a managerial role is essential, along with the ability to take sole charge and oversee a team of 30 full and part time staff.
Salary of between £36,000 – £39,000 per annum will be offered to a competent and reliable team player for the following job role:

Feeding and administering medical treatment to horses

• Staff management
• Overseeing of daily stable care and making decisions accordingly
  Accompanying vets and recording outcomes of veterinary visits
• Organising and overseeing of trainer visits during busy period

Hours:

This is a full-time position with the following hours –

• Monday to Friday 6 am to 5pm with a break of 1.5 hours

Working one Sunday every other week with adaptable hours but usually 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening.

Hours can be flexible to the right candidate.
