Senior Groom

Full time experienced senior groom, or maintenance person with equine experience, required for private yard between Thetford and Brandon.

The ideal person will work well within a small team who provide the highest standards of care to 18 wonderful horses ranging from 12 hands to 16 hands.

All the horses live out 24/7 so NO MUCKING OUT in this job!

This can be a riding or non riding position.

Duties will be all care of the horses, preparing for exercise, tacking up and untacking,show level grooming and the ability to spot a problem.

During the summer months the majority of the horses move to another yard so the successful person needs to be happy having/ sole charge of the remaining 5 .

Due to the summer being quieter, it is essential that the groom has someone capable of operating various machinery (tractor, quad, walker,treadmill, topper, harrows etc).

This position is offered with a 3 bedroom modern house on site and a generous salary along with benefits package.

Hours will be 7.30 to 4.30 – 40 hours per week to include alternate weekends.
