Gardener/Groundsperson/Driver – Near Colchester Essex. REF 633 – No longer available

Experienced Gardener/Groundsperson/Driver required for private country house located on the Essex/Suffolk border in beautiful countryside.

The current gentleman is leaving sadly after 9.5 years and Our Client is looking for someone to step into the role who is reliable, trustworthy with a wonderful friendly personality.

The ideal person will be able to manage the gardens carrying out all grass cutting, trimming, weeding, hedge cutting and generally keeping the grounds in good condition and looking lovely.

Must be able to operate and maintain garden machinery.

Someone with good plant knowledge who understands tending plants, restocking where necessary etc. Ideally horticulturally qualified or with proven horticultural experience.

This is a 40 hour per week position split over 5 days – 9am to 5pm with half and hour lunch break. During the winter months this will be 9am to 4pm and driving will make up the hours.

Alternatively it can be a 32 hour week split over 4 days.

Very competitive salary offered to the successful person who can provide excellent references.

Car Driver essential due to location and the family require a driver from time to time.

There is a cottage available if required.

There is the chance to work with the current Gardener so a start date early August would be preferred.
