Full Time Stud Hand/Groundsman/Paddock Maintenance (Live In) – Bury St Edmunds REF 668

Experienced Stud Hand/Groundsman/Maintenance person required for small privately owned stud located in rural location near Bury St Edmunds.

This is rare opportunity that would suit someone who is experienced at handling and looking after horses including broodmares, mares in foal and young stock. You will be required to turn the horses out, put them on and off the walker, lunge them and carry out all yard duties.

Our client is hoping to find someone who can maintain the paddocks and stables all year round. They need someone who can drive a tractor competently, topping, fertilising, rolling fields etc. Operating small farm machinery a must, our client will not consider those without this experience.

Another requirement would be gardening, grass cutting, maintaining borders, hedges etc and generally keeping everywhere neat and tidy.

This would ideally be a live- in position and a family could be accommodated if necessary.

We are looking for an honest, trustworthy, and personable person who can look after this wonderful stud, all its animals and its surrounding gardens. Someone that is happy popping in for a coffee with the owner now and again and making sure they are well would be perfect.

The ideal person must have excellent references, have previous equine experience, be competent operating tractors/ various equipment and garden machinery.

A capable, caring, and friendly person is an absolute must.
