Estate Worker/Handyperson, Dorchester, Dorset. REF JF1797

Full Time experienced Estate Worker/Handyperson required for country estate located in the lush Frome Valley in the south west of England.

The Estate runs a number of businesses, including holiday accommodation, residential lettings, game shooting, fly fishing and self storage which all require high standard maintenance.

The Estate Worker/ Handyperson will be responsible for the general upkeep and supporting the above businesses. This role requires a proactive individual with a wide range of skills, including basic plumbing, decorating and general repairs.

Key responsibilities

• To perform routine maintenance and repairs
• To carry out minor plumbing and decorations
• To assist with landscaping and grounds keeping
• General driving duties
• Some front of house ( serving guests )

The Person will have:

• Experience of basic plumbing, and decorations
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
• A valid, full, UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as required

This is ideally a live in position and accommodation is available on site.

Live out could be considered if the person’s commute is no more than 20 minutes from the estate.
