Experienced Nanny/Housekeeper required for busy young family with 4 bedroom modern property in the village of Hintlesham, Ipswich, Suffolk. Easy access from Ipswich, Hadleigh and Colchester.
We would consider 2 people keeping the Nanny and Housekeeping roles separate.
Nanny duties
The Nanny will be required to work the following hours:
Monday 07.45 -08.45 to do school drop off
Tuesday 15.15 – 18.15 to do school and nursery pick up and cook supper
Thursday 15.15 – 18.15 to do school and nursery pick up and cook supper
The hours can be between 15 and 22 per week.
Days may vary during the school holidays, but hours are guaranteed.
- After school care of two children ages 2 and 4
- Pick up from school and nursery (10 and 15 minute drive)
- Play and activities at home-inside and outside
- Prepare and offer snack and evening meal to the children
- Help with school work (eg phonics)
- In time this may include taking the older child to after school club
- Possibility of extra hours to cover parents being late home occasionally, including bathtime and bedtime
Housekeeping Duties;
8 hours any time when not looking after the children
- Housework
- Laundry and Ironing
- General tidying during the day
- Making sure the bathrooms and kitchen are kept clean and tidy
The Person:
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Is looking for a long term role
- Will have a genuine love of working with children
- Will have childcare qualifications or extensive previous Nanny experience ( references essential )
- Will have a current DBS
- Kind, caring and someone the children love being with
- Fun, bright with a creative flair to make time with the children happy and entertaining
- A car driver with a full UK driving licence ( car provided for collecting the children )
- Animal friendly as the family have a dog, horses and pony.
- A non smoker.
Up to £18 per hour on an employed basis will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references.
