Couple required to cover housekeeping and gardening duties in the most beautiful location approx 7 miles North of Colchester.

The house is a 6 bedroom, period country house with incredible views overlooking the Dedham Vale with 3 acres of gardens and grounds surrounding it.

The position comes with a lovely 3 bedroom cottage and a very competitive salary.

The current couple are sadly leaving after 5-6 years and will be greatly missed. The housekeeper prior to them was there for 30 years so we think this speaks volumes!

Housekeeping

• All housework, laundry and ironing of the main house to a high standard
• Regular deep cleans
• Specialist fabric care experience
• Bed linen changing and preparing rooms for guests on occasions
• Making sure flower arrangements are refreshed
• Laying and clearing fires
• Pet care at times

Gardening

• All lawn care around the house using large ride on mower, strimmer etc
• Weeding, pruning, mulching, cutting back and restocking formal borders
• Cutting back trees
• Swimming pool maintenance
• Tennis court area maintenance
• Car washing
• Driving for the family occasionally

The Couple

• Reliable, trustworthy with a really good work ethic
• Friendly, polite and easy to have around
• Be able to work to high standards with a ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to keep the house immaculate.
• Horticulturally qualified preferred(gardener)
• Experienced with large garden machinery use.
• Car drivers
• Non smokers
• Fit and active
• Previously worked as a couple within a private household
• Animal friendly as the owner has 2 dogs.
