Full Time experienced Head Housekeeper required for beautiful, luxury hotel and restaurant nestled in the Suffolk countryside approx 9 miles West of Ipswich, Suffolk. The hotel is in a fabulous location and offers a unique setting for guests and offers a lovely working environment. Easy access from Ipswich, Colchester and Sudbury.

This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to be part of an exciting, expanding business which has recently opened the most amazing spa and wedding venue offering exceptional, unrivalled facilities.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent communication skills, to join the established housekeeping team who manage the cleaning of all areas to the highest of standards. Someone who can head up a small team as well as being very hands on with all tasks required.  The perfect person will have a keen eye for the finer detail to make sure that every part of the hotel is immaculate at all times.

The Position:

  • Managing and working within a small team keeping bedrooms and all areas of the hotel clean and well presented at all times
  • Organising staff and allocating where they will be working
  • Being very hands on with all cleaning duties
  • Keeping rotas up to date
  • Checking all rooms are well presented, clean and ready for guests
  • Ensuring all public areas including the spa, restaurant and bars are immaculate at all times
  • Keeping cleaning supplies and other stock levels well maintained
  • Reporting issues to maintenance or management- electrical items, light bulbs, breakages etc
  • Making sure flowers are refreshed-liaising with florist

The Person be:

  • Reliable, punctual, enthusiastic with a good work ethic
  • A good leader as well as a good team player
  • Meticulous, thorough with a keen eye for the finer detail
  • Approachable and easy to get on with
  • Able to train, advise and guide other staff members
  • Experienced with the high standards expected within a luxury hotel
  • Able to take responsibility for the timely completion of the daily housekeeping to enable guests to check in at the desired times
  • Thorough in their checking of the cleaned rooms and other areas to ensure they are immaculate and well presented.

The hours offered are 40 per week and these will be worked on a rota basis with shift patterns that can start with 6.30am on occasions.

Weekend work will be required, this too will be on a rota basis.

A industry competitive salary will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references.
