Experienced, local and friendly family groom / rider required, on a part time basis for a small, beautiful private family yard situated on the outskirts of Newmarket, Suffolk.
The person must be confident hacking, cantering, basic schooling and have experience as a private groom previously.
The family only have 1 horse and 1 pony in at the moment but will be adding 1, possibly 2 more at Easter.
Days required:
- 2 full days a week (ideally Mondays and Wednesdays)
- Plus help at the weekend (ideally 1 or 2 in 4) this is to allow the current groom some time off over the weekend
Daily tasks:
- Mucking out
- Lunging
- Grooming
- Feeding
- Sole charge
- Rugging up
- Rehab- bandaging, basic injury care, pole work
- Putting horses on and off the walker
- Riding
- Helping at Pony club and team training sessions
- Helping at horse shows
