Beat Keeper, Inverness, Scotland – JB1941

Full Time experienced Beat keeper required for 5500 acre estate ( part of a larger estate ) with a minimum of 3 years experience.

The candidate will be responsible for the beat producing 25-30 red deer stags, 30-40 hinds and walked up grouse.

We are looking for someone conscientious and highly motivated to carry out the tasks associated with this role. The ideal person will be forward thinking and always looking to improve the beat where possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside the Head Keeper and estate team with the aim of maintaining and improving all aspects of the beat.

Responsibilites:

• Stalking with the Family and Guests
• Carrying out the deer management plan
• Winter feeding program
• Vermin control
• Gritting
• Muir Burn
• Assisting with Estate Driven Days
• General Estate maintenance
• Working with neighbouring stakeholders
• Boat handling would be an advantage but not mandatory

Requirements for the role:

• Full Uk driving licence
• Firearms and Shotgun Certificates
• Own working dogs
• ATV Certificates
• Physical fitness

An attractive remuneration package  will be offered to the successful person, which will include a 3 bedroom detached house on the estate and ongoing training as required.
