** NOW FILLED**
The Night Manager / Host role is pivotal at West Lexham. You will be the first person to respond to any questions or issues that occur during the night on site. It is vital that the successful candidate is calm, polite, responsible, and confident dealing with various customer situations, requests, and potential complaints. The Night Manager / Host will have a duty of care for every person on site.
Hours will be 5.00pm – 11.30pm (hourly rate) then 11.30pm-7.30am (night rate, on call). The job will operate on a shift/rota basis with other Night Managers / Hosts.
The key responsibilities include:
- Responding to any questions or issues customers may have during the night
- Pack down the café and help set up for the morning
- Check the grounds are safe and doors are locked
- Ad hoc cleaning or maintenance work as required
Once everything is quiet, the café is set up and the site is secure, the Night Manager / Host will be able to go to bed in their own dedicated accommodation. The designated Night Manager / Host will only need to respond if and when the phone rings. Hosts must be prepared to deal with any emergency and keep a record of any issues on shift.
General maintenance knowledge would be an advantage, sorting problems on the spot such as a leaking tap, making it safe until the Head of Maintenance can attend in the morning.
All Night Managers / Hosts will have been fully briefed and have ‘how to’ documents for all possible issues.
Night Managers will be expected to stay on site until the end of their shift and be a qualified first aider (training provided if necessary).
There are many other opportunities for a Night Manager / Host role to be involved in across the business. West Lexham will be hosting regular festivals and events which will require extra manpower as and when needed. There is vast potential to develop your skills and be involved in some very exciting new projects.
West Lexham Night Managers / Hosts will be the face of the company until the office opens in the morning therefore politeness, professionalism and an eagerness to help are very important.
Someone that is willing to go above and beyond to make the whole experience perfect for West Lexham’s guests would be ideal.
