Role
Private Household & Estate / Gardener / Groundsperson / Farm & Equestrian

We have a fantastic opportunity available for someone with a real interest in agriculture and the countryside. This position is offering a working/training role on a full time, permanent basis on a 40-acre family estate in Norfolk.

You will get the chance to attend college courses whilst working, and also obtain various licenses such as spray, chainsaw, tractor, large machinery etc

This position would suit someone with a genuine love for working outside in all weathers and someone who relishes the idea of learning new skills and assisting with the running of the grounds and gardens.

The person must be keen to join a small, friendly team assisting their current full time Groundsman with the following duties:

  • Mowing lawns (ride and push mower)
  • Mending fences
  • Strimming and cutting hedges
  • Cutting trees
  • Clearing pathways
  • Feeding animals (predominantly horses, dogs)
  • Topping, harrowing and spraying fields
  • Operating tractors / gators

The ideal person will have a real positive attitude to work, be happy to get stuck in with a variety of jobs, be hard working, motivated and great to be around.

Training will be offered throughout so previous experience is not essential.

Car driver imperative due to location

This would suit someone who has recently graduated from Easton and Otley college or equivalent or someone who is looking to start a career in agriculture. This is a long-term position with lots of scope to become an integral member of a small team.
