Full Time Experienced Groom/Rider – Cambridgeshire -REF 838

Full Time Competition Groom required for family eventing yard with approx 10 horses and ponies.

Other staff employed so this is not an isolated position. Accommodation available if required.

The job requires someone who can:-

• Turn horses out to a high standard – clip, plait, trim etc
• Bandage for travel and prepare horse and lorry for travel
• Ride well to exercise fit horses
• Organise the yard and follow feeding and exercise regimes
• Liaise with vets, suppliers, farriers and owners
• Organise and maintain the yard to a high standard keeping clean, safe and tidy
• Understand the demands of a competition yard during the busy season and down time
• Prepare horses for riders
• Travel to events at times and be able to stud up, cool down etc
• Be reliable, work well in a small team and have a bright friendly personality
• Car driver essential- lorry driver would be an advantage but not a deal breaker
