Full Time Stud Groom -Nr Woodbridge -REF 889

Full time experienced Stud Hand required for The Suffolk Punch Trust located near Woodbridge, Suffolk.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an established team caring for these amazing heavy horses .

The position will include:-

• All yard work – mucking out, grooming, feeding, hays, waters, grooming, tack cleaning and general yard duties
• Assisting with visitor attractions
• Handling large horses on the ground with confidence
• Handling mares, foals and youngstock
• Stallion work would be an advantage
• Paddock maintenance-cleaning and using tractor
• Weekend work on a rota basis
• 10 days on – 4 days off

The person:-

• Reliable, punctual and a good, enthusiastic team player
• Experienced with horses and happy around heavy breeds
• Experienced with Mares, foals, youngstock and if possible stallions
• Polite with good communication skills to liaise with other staff, visitors to the centre etc
• Must have a good understanding of health and safety
• Non smoker
• Car driver
