Endurance Groom / Rider- Nr Dereham, Norfolk (to start April 2022)- REF 914

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, lightweight rider (80-85kg max) to join a top class, small, private endurance yard in Norfolk.

Lovely accommodation available on site. Live out is an option but only if the person is local.

This is a full-time, permanent position – 8.00am-5.00pm, 5 days a week, weekends will be required.

Overview of the position:

• Riding – long training rides 30 – 40 kms, shorter rides & hacks, schooling, canter work on a training track, lunging, long lining, physio stretches (can teach if required)
• Usual grooming / rugging / feeding / turn out / horse walker / liaison with vet , farrier and physio
• “Crewing “- grooming for owner at competitions including to FEI 4* Championship standard (can train but must be willing to be involved in long days and travel away from home both in the U.K. and abroad)
• All general yard duties
• Assisting with paddock maintenance
• Helping with dog kennels and care for 3 dogs
• Help with general upkeep of stables, paddocks, and garden areas to keep everywhere neat and tidy
• Assistance with housework during quiet season and horses’ days off

We are looking for a very experienced horse rider, someone who has previously worked on a private competition yard or similar would be preferable.

An interest in Arabian horses would be a real advantage but above all the person must be passionate and willing to learn.
