Experienced Groom required for private sports horse stud located approx 15 minutes from Bury St Edmunds-easy access from the A134 and A14. Full Time or Part Time considered.

We are looking for someone for TWO WEEKS FROM BEGINNING OF MARCH-earlier start date can be available.

The Position:-

  • Yard Work for a maximum of 6 stabled horses( mucking out etc)
  • Putting on and taking horses off the horse walker
  • Grooming
  • Tack Cleaning
  • Tacking up for rider
  • Exercising available for good capable rider
  • Handling young stock

The Person:-

  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Energetic with a good work ethic
  • Will have a genuine love of working with horses
  • A good team player who takes instruction but can work alone when required
  • Will be able to spot injury and illness and advise owner immediately
  • Will carry out all yard and field duties to a high standard

Car driver essential due to location however there is a mobile home on site should accommodation and distance be an issue.

The stud has excellent facilities and is a great environment to work in. Indoor stables and wonderful full size arena.
