Full Time Senior Forge/Blacksmith required for established company who design and create beautiful lighting and home furnishings in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

This is a rare opportunity for someone to learn new skills and advance the experience they already have.

The products are hand finished on site and sold from the large showroom and also on line.  Beautiful light fittings , door furnishings and curtain poles are recognised throughout the UK.

The key responsibilities will be :-

• To carry out basic standard operations effectively to a high safety and quality standard
• Personally accountable for completing your day to day activities in accordance with training,  skills and standards
• To Check quality of own operation of machinery and equipment
• To Signal irregularities in operation of machinery and equipment
• Escalation of any problems in completing your day to day targets/work e.g. product quality and job training, adopting stop and fix approach.

The Person will be:-

• A practical person who is willing to learn a new skill
• Confident asking for help or clarity when required
• Able to make working safely the priority
• A self starter, motivated with great organisational skills
• An effective communicator and a results orientated team player
• Knowledgeable of performance metrics and KPIs
• Comfortable supervising small teams and overseeing the implementation of new processes.
