Full Time Head Gardener- Nr Swaffham / Norfolk- REF 976

Full Time experienced Head Gardener required for beautiful country house located in rural Norfolk approximately 7 miles from the market town of Swaffham and 13 miles from Thetford.

The Head Gardener will be responsible for a wonderful Arne Maynard Garden  which offers a great opportunity for a skilled horticulturalist.

The position will include:-

• Maintaining 5 acres of formal garden
• Working with 1 under gardener
• Topiary
• High standard lawn care
• Border planting and design
• Propagation of seedlings
• Growing and supplying Vegetables, Fruit and Cut flowers for the house
• Garden machinery care and maintenance
• Chainsaw use (licence required)
• Pesticide Use (Licence required)
• Fence Repair
• Maintenance of Terraces and Driveways (may require use of pressure washer)

The Person will be:-

• Reliable, trustworthy with a good work ethic
• Able to manage one other staff member
• Horticulturally qualified and have excellent plant knowledge
• Will be polite, discrete and easy to get along with
• Enthusiastic and take a pride in their work with high attention to detail
• Fully confident in garden design and be able to follow instructions and read drawings
• Experienced in general maintenance skills
• Experienced in Chainsaw and Pesticide use (licence)
• Committed to keeping this fabulous looking exceptional all year round
