Full Time Groom/Rider- Nr Hadleigh / Suffolk – REF 1025

Full Time experienced Groom/Rider required for private yard approx 10 minutes from Hadleigh, Suffolk. Easily accessible from both Ipswich and Sudbury- car essential as no public transport.

We are looking for someone who can work 5 days per week with every Friday and Sunday as days off.

The Position:-

• To work alongside one other part time groom providing first class care to 5 hunters
• All yard duties to a high standard- mucking out, poo picking, grooming, turning horses out and bringing in from the field, rug changing, washing off, yard tidy, tack cleaning and hays etc
•  Clipping and plaiting horses to a very high standard
• Riding hunters to get them fit and maintaining ridden fitness work throughout the season
• Riding and leading on hacks
• Lunging
• Bandaging
• Walk/riding point to pointers during the summer before they go into training
• Opportunity to go trail hunting in the Autumn

The Person:-

• Reliable, punctual and hard working and kind
• A good team player
• A good, confident rider who is happy riding large fit horses and also happy to ride and lead
• HGV driver would be great but not a deal breaker
• Will have excellent turn out skills (clipping and plaiting)
• Will live locally as there is no accommodation available

Good rate of pay offered to the successful person with fully checkable references.
