Part Time Payroll Assistant required for friendly, busy, fast-growing and progressive accountancy practice near Dereham. Nice quiet location with plenty of onsite parking.

5 days a week, hours negotiable. School hours are possible. (4 hours per day)

The main responsibilities will be:

  • To process client payrolls accurately and efficiently
  • Assist clients with queries both via email and telephone in a timely and professional manner
  • PAYE/NIC and CIS Administration
  • Processing starters and leavers, issuing P45’s
  • Meeting RTI obligations including end of year submissions, issue of P60’s
  • Dealing with auto-enrolment duties for employers
  • Uploading weekly/monthly pension contributions
  • Payroll journals for Sage
  • Liaising with Office manager on any adhoc tasks

The Person

  • Payroll Experience
  • Previous Sage experience
  • Moneysoft payroll experience an advantage
  • Xero/Quickbooks experience an advantage
  • Great written, verbal and communication skills
  • A pleasant telephone manner
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with MS Office software
  • Understand the need of confidentiality in dealing with client information

Salary depending on experience and pro-rata.
