Full Time experienced Administrator/Assistant required to support the Contracts Managers and the Estimator in this award winning Landscape Construction Company, located on the Essex /Suffolk border. Easy access via the A12.

This Company are previous winners at the Chelsea Flower Show are are entered again for 2023. They have earned a reputation for offering first class quality and service to many prestigious commercial and domestic clients with projects completed and in progress. They are a forward thinking , professional business and growing year on year.

The hours will be 08.30 to 5pm – Monday to Friday

The Position:-

  • Administrative support to Contract Managers and Estimator
  • Answering the phone in a polite and professional manner
  • Managing the filing system in accordance with company practice and contracts
  • Processing tender enquiries, assisting with the production of quotations, including use of software to take accurate measurements from drawings and quantifying for estimating in a timely manner
  • Ordering various materials and equipment as needed for jobs
  • Aiding the team with health and Safety compliance
  • Prepare paperwork for Teams on site
  • Vehicle and Plant machinery management, use of tracking software and ensuring maintenance of machinery/vehicles
  • Upkeep of stationery, office supplies, unpacking deliveries and keeping office tidy
  • Checking off deliveries into yard when required
  • Ensure administration is up to date for Plant health compliance
  • General office duties

The Person :-

  • Reliable, punctual, polite and professional
  • Proactive and able to prioritise workload
  • Previous Office administration experience and be numerically good
  • Will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with a bubbly personality and above all a good team player
  • Organised and efficient with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Forward thinking and a good communicator with excellent communication skills
  • Will show strong attention to detail
  • Able to build positive working relationships with suppliers and contacts
  • Fully Computer literate particularly Excel and Outlook, CRM Platform
  • Will have at least 5 GCSEs – A-C A level preferred
  • Horticultural interest would be an advantage
