Full Time Groom/Rider – Newmarket Ref 1145

Full Time experienced Groom/Rider required for small family yard in beautiful setting about 15 minutes from Newmarket.

We are looking for someone who can manage the yard of 4 horses ( including a pony) to a very high standard.

The family hunt and compete in local shows so the groom will be required to clip, plait and turn out immaculately.

The yard is kept tidy and clean at all times so all yard duties required including mucking out, hays, waters, feed, tack cleaning, turning out and bringing in from the field, exercising, sweeping the yard and adjoining areas.

Someone who can spot injury or illness essential.

A good, experienced rider essential to hack and maintain fitness of all horses.

There are 2 part time grooms also employed to assist on various days and weekends are shared potentially 1 in 3 complete weekends worked.

Someone with an HGV licence would be a great advantage but not a deal breaker, however a car driver with own transport is a must.

A good salary will be offered to the successful person who can provide fully checkable references.
