Event Groom- Nr Bury St Edmunds/ Suffolk

Full Time Event Groom required for successful Event rider with horses competing through the levels up to 4*/ 5*.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person with a friendly, easy to get along with personality. Someone with a genuine interest in eventing would be great but a previous involvement with dressage or show jumpers would work.
This is a fabulous opportunity for someone looking to be part of this small family team with amazing horses and the best possible facilities.
The ability to turn horses out to a very high standard is essential which will include clipping, plaiting, trimming, mane pulling and generally keeping the horses in great condition at all times.
Someone who is happy to exercise the horses ( hacking ) and who is confident on the ground too.
Must understand the demands of the training and competition days , ensuring horses are prepared for travel ( bandaging etc) and all equipment is clean and ready to go.

The ideal person will have previous experience of working with competition horses and understand the demands for high standard care.

Opportunity to travel to events on occasions.

Lorry driver would be great (HGV)

Car driver essential due to the location.

This is a LIVE IN position – in self contained accommodation on site.
Well behaved dog welcome and employed partner a possibility.

No space for horse – sorry!
