Couple – Rural Oxfordshire – REF 1153

Full Time experienced Couple required for large private Estate in rural location approx 8 miles from Oxford. Accommodation in a lovely 3 bedroom cottage and a competitive salary will be offered to a couple who can join this established team providing excellent Housekeeping and Gardening/Groundsperson skills to the properties and grounds.

The Housekeeper role:

• Cleaning all rooms in each property on the Estate  to a high standard ( properties are owned and lived in by family members)
• Spring cleaning
• Washing and ironing
• Making and changing beds
• Cooking on an ad-hoc basis-basis family cooking
• Childcare on an ad-hoc basis- some childcare experience necessary
• Running errands
• Basic sewing ( not essential)
• Looking after family dog if required
• Working with other housekeepers as well as alone at times.

The Person:

• Reliable, friendly with a good work ethic
• Experienced with previous private household experience
• Must work well in a team but be happy working alone

The Gardener/Groundsperson role:-

• Grass cutting, strimming, weeding and leaf clearance
• Maintenance of the grounds and gardens including pruning, planting, hedge cutting and vegetable garden care
• Maintaining and arranging servicing of garden machinery
• Occasional visits to London property -not overnight
• Driving and running errands
• Cleaning cars
• Swimming pool maintenance
• Looking after family dog when needed

The Person:-

• Will have excellent knowledge of gardening, horticultural skills and vegetable growing experience
• Will be able to operate and maintain large garden machinery
• Will be able to carry out basic DIY – plumbing issues etc
• Will have a full UK driving licence
