Full Time Competition Groom – Brentwood, Essex Ref 1273

Full Time Competition Groom required for private showjumping yard located near Brentwood Essex.. This would suit someone with previous senior or head groom experience working with competition horses – dressage, showjumping or eventing.

5 .5 day week but weekend work would be included on a rota basis.

The Position:-

• All yard duties to a high standard
• Turning horses out to a high standard
• Preparing horses for travel, bandaging etc
• Loading lorry for travel and competition
• Travelling to shows both in the UK and abroad.
• Driving the lorry (HGV)
• Handling horses confidently on the ground
• Lunging
• Riding if a competent rider( hacking and warming up)
• Spotting injury and illness and advising the relevant parties

The Person:-

• Reliable, Punctual and hard working
• Must be a good team player and easy to get on with
• Previous experience with competition horses
• Fit and active
• Able to turn horses out to a high standard
• Lorry driver with HGV licence
• Will be happy to travel to shows UK and abroad
•  Within 40 minutes of Brentwood or willing to relocate
