Part Time Gardener- Brettenham, Suffolk REF 1211 ON HOLD

Part Time Gardener required for leading independent school located in the village of Brettenham, close to Stowmarket. Bury St Edmunds and Hadleigh.

The ideal person will be able to work 3 days a week – 5.25 hours each day – total 15.75 hours per week all year round.

The Position:-

• Seasonal maintenance of flowers, shrubs, gardens, woodland gardens and parks, including trees, hedges, roses, wall trainer fruit trees, climbers, herbaceous plants and annuals.
• Use of garden machinery – mowers, strimmers, tractor and trailer, shredders, scarifier, snow plough and other machinery
• Plant production within the polytunnel
• Pruning of trees, shrubs, climbers and hedges
• Daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery
• Turf maintenance
• Safe use of pesticides
• Composting
• Path, gates and  there hard landscaping maintenance

• Reliable, punctual, well presented and polite
• A good team player
• Happy to assist during school functions
• Will be able to keep accurate records
• Work within health and safety guidelines
• Will have good communication skills
• Conscientious and professional
• Willing to learn new skills
• Flexible and happy to work some weekends
• Car Driver
