Head Housekeeper- Newmarket / Suffolk (FILLED)

Full Time experienced Head Housekeeper required for private country house located close to Newmarket.

The ideal person will have held a similar position within a private household and understand the demands of working within a family environment.

High standards essential to keep this wonderful period property immaculate at all times.

This is a hands on position and requires someone energetic with a ‘can do’ attitude who can work well with others and alone when necessary. The ability to carry out housework, laundry and ironing.

Someone who can use their own initiative , noticing when certain jobs need doing – refreshing flowers, changing linen etc.

Reliable, conscientious person with a friendly personality who takes a real pride in their work.

Generous salary offered to the successful person who can supply excellent references .

Car driver essential due to the rural location.

Non smoker

Hours will be 8am to 5pm – Monday to Friday with the flexibility to work weekends when necessary (approx 8 a year to cover functions)
