Full Time Gardener/Groundsperson – Bury St Edmunds, Ref 1340

Full Time experienced Gardener/Groundsperson required for private country house located approx 12 miles North East of Bury St Edmunds.

Car driver essential due to the rural location.

The ideal person will have previously been a senior Gardener and understand the requirements within a large garden throughout the year.

The family have a wedding within the grounds this summer so someone who can keep everything looking great essential.

The Position:-

• All grass care – mowing using ride on mower, strimming and treating
• Paddock Maintenance- using tractor and implements
• Care of formal borders
• Vegetable garden maintenance
• Hedge Cutting
• Spraying- certificates required
• Chain saw use-licence required
• Tennis Court area maintenance
• Pool maintenance

The Person:-

• Will be a really experienced Gardener/Groundsperson with good horticultural knowledge
• A car and driver
• Will hold spray and chain saw certificates
• Reliable, punctual with a good work ethic
• Easy to get along with
• Will understand what needs doing and when and able to work using their own initiative but also will happily follow instructions.
• Will be physically fit as the job will involve some heavy work.
