Part Time Groom, -Newmarket -Ref 1360

Part Time experienced Groom required for private competition yard located between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.

We are looking for someone reliable who can work 3 or 4 days a week- to include 1 weekend day.

This is a lovely family yard with event horses who compete at a high level both in the UK and Overseas.

The Position:-

• All yard duties to a high standard- mucking out, waters, hays, yard sweeping, tack cleaning
• Turning horses out and bringing in from the field
• Putting horses on the walker
• Tacking horses up for the rider, washing off after exercise etc
• Bandaging for stable and travel
• Keeping the yard clean and tidy
• Poo picking the field
• Cleaning to lorry

The Person:-

• Reliable, punctual with a really good work ethic
• Will have a genuine passion for working with horses
• Be confident handling fit horses on the ground
• Will have experience with using horse walkers
• Will take a pride in their work and love to know everything is done to the best of their ability
• Will take and follow instructions
• Will have a bright, friendly personality and be easy to get along with.
• Car driver
